May 4, 2016
Every year technical enterprises, enterprises with technical departments and technical training facilities, universities, and research centres are invited to organise an open day for girls – Girls’Day.
Girls’Day is a chance to introduce girls of 10 years upwards to professions and vocational fields that have a women’s quota of less than 40%. We have talked about Gender balance in IT and grim statistics before and promised to not stick our head in the sand.
And that is why Endocode is opening their doors on 28th of April for the Girls’Day 2016.
We want to give girls the opportunity to look behind the curtain of an IT-company. Together we want to talk about how our company works and what our our daily routine is. We will find a project and will get everyone involved and programming. And once we have done some beautiful programming, we will talk about ways to get into IT.
The vocational choices of young women are influenced by various factors, families, school, media and employers. We want to broaden these choices by giving girls an idea of how exciting and diverse the world of IT can be. And how well they will fit into it.
So spread the word. Girls’Day 2016 at Endocode HQ is a go.
We can’t wait.
